Safety and wellbeing
The top priority for the club is safety and we take this responsibility very seriously. We want to maintain a culture of openness and vigilance so that everyone feels comfortable to report concerns. All our staff are DBS checked and our risk assessments are regularly reviewed by us and checked by Swim England. We welcome comments and questions about this, as we recognise that safety issues can change over time.
We ask that everyone follows the club rules and Codes of Conduct so that we can all stay safe.
Our Welfare Officer is Yemisi Osolake.

If you have any questions or concerns about welfare, safety and wellbeing, please use this email address to contact her: welfare@mnwdsc.co.uk
She will respond as soon as possible.
Alternatively, you can also talk to her during club sessions where she is usually present.
Your concerns will always be taken seriously and treated as confidential, and fully investigated in order to resolve issues.
If you aren’t sure whether to get in touch, please do as it’s better to check concerns even if it turns out to be nothing.
If your concern is about the Welfare Officer, or you prefer to speak to someone outside of the club, please contact Swim England’s welfare team: How To Raise A Concern or Complaint | Swim England Safeguarding (swimming.org)
If you prefer, their Safeguarding team can be contacted on 01509 640700 (Option 1 for Swim England and then Option 3 for Safeguarding). Please leave a message if the team is unavailable and they will get back to you as soon as possible.
Club Rules
As a member of the club, you are asked to follow the codes of conduct recommended by Swim England.
Keeping floors dry outside of the general pool area
Please do not walk on outside floors with wet feet or clothing, as this can make them very slippery and dangerous. Swimmers and families are asked to dry off in the changing rooms, or use a changing robe in the spectator area to maintain safety for all users of Wright Robinson.
Mobile phones
Swim England has recently issued a ruling that mobile phones cannot be used at all in changing rooms during club sessions. This includes texting, calling, accessing the internet and taking photos. Please follow this rule to keep all of our swimmers safe.
If you are concerned about mobile phones being used in the changing rooms, please get in touch with the Welfare Officer.
We would also ask that you do not take photos or record videos of your swimmer in the water unless you have got permission to do so from the Head Coach.
